Go ahead. Make that mediocre content!

Want to make viral content? All it takes is one little trick. Ready?!

You have to try to make viral content.

It sounds like I’m joking, but I’m not. In my experience, most companies never aim for virality with their content. They don’t bother learning the language of social media, studying what formats garner the most engagement and taking a scientific approach towards developing their own content based on data-driven research. And when you don’t put in that work, you’re almost assuredly bound to fail.

One of the keys to content creation is you have to treat each piece of content like it has the potential to go viral, and to only make content that you believe has that potential. If you don’t feel like something can go viral, don’t post it. Posting content just for the sake of posting is not just a waste of time and effort—it’s actually hindering your potential performance.

You read that right. If you keep posting non-viral content, the algorithm will learn that your account doesn’t post content that resonates with people at scale. Over time, the algorithm “trusts” your content has what it takes to keep users on the platform less and less, significantly limiting your reach.

That’s why it’s so important to have the intention of going viral with every post. You know the phrase, “if you shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll land on the stars?” The original author only forgot one thing. You have to not only aim for the moon, but learn all the science behind what it takes to actually get to the moon. While it’s admittedly a lot of work, who knows? Maybe the next time you shoot for the moon, you might just actually land on the moon.

Feel like there’s just one thing that’s holding you back from success? This may be the right fit for you…Register for my master class here.
