People constantly ask me what digital platforms they should choose to achieve the success they want to have.
It’s an important question.
A lot of strategists say that you need to be on every platform. I disagree with this.
I advise that you start with one platform, and work to get really good at it before you expand to any others.
I also recommend that you choose the platform you are most passionate about or enjoy.
There are a few reasons why.
First, it takes a lot of time, effort, and resources to achieve a large following and success.
You can increase the potential to reach your goals if your efforts are focused. It can be challenging when you’re trying to do it on several platforms at once.
Focus on one platform to begin. Once you achieve success, you can determine if it makes sense to diversify.
Second, you’ll be spending a lot of time on the platform you choose.
You need to be motivated to create the content you need, engage with the audience, and stay on top of key strategies and trends.
If you pick the platform you enjoy using, it’ll help drive your effort and success long range.
This approach also gives you time to learn what works best on the platform, how the audience engages, what kind of content people want to see, the growth mechanisms, and other nuances. All of which can help increase the opportunity to accomplish what you want to accomplish.
It’s the same strategy I use for myself, as well as with my clients. I’ve found it to be effective.
